Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Part-Time Waiter to join our Fish and Chips restaurant team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest service, ensure food safety standards, and contribute to a welcoming dining atmosphere. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in food service and hospitality to develop their skills in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and take their orders accurately using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Serve food and beverages promptly, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met
- Handle cash transactions and perform cashiering duties with accuracy and attention to detail
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of dining areas, utensils, and workstations in compliance with food safety regulations
- Assist in food preparation and kitchen support as needed
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service
- Provide guest services by answering questions about menu items, specials, and restaurant policies
- Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed at all times
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment preferred but not required
- Knowledge of POS systems, especially Micros POS, is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Good time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently
- Basic math skills for cash handling and billing accuracy
- Understanding of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced setting
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Prior experience in hospitality or the food industry is advantageous but not mandatory

Pay: $17.20-$20.00 per hour
