Responsibilities
- Perform professional massage therapy sessions tailored to individual client needs, including Swedish, deep tissue, sports, or other modalities.
- Assess client concerns and develop appropriate treatment plans to enhance relaxation and physical health.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable treatment area following sanitation standards.
- Educate clients on post-treatment care and recommend future sessions or wellness practices.
- Keep detailed records of treatments provided and client progress while respecting confidentiality.
- Ensure excellent customer service by creating a welcoming environment and addressing client questions or concerns professionally.
- Stay current with industry best practices and attend ongoing training or certification updates as required.
Experience
- Prior experience in massage therapy or related wellness fields is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for new graduates.
- Knowledge of medical terminology is beneficial for understanding client conditions and treatment documentation.
- Strong communication skills are essential for effectively interacting with clients and understanding their needs.
- Exceptional customer service skills are necessary to foster trust and ensure a positive client experience. This position requires a valid massage therapy license or certification as per state regulations. The successful candidate should demonstrate professionalism, empathy, and a genuine passion for promoting health through therapeutic touch.
