Job Summary
Augury Healthcare is seeking an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist for an anticipated temporary contract supporting Saskatchewan Health Authority’s SW1 and SW2 network.
This role will help maintain timely access to Speech-Language Pathology services across rural central Saskatchewan during a period of significant service need. The successful clinician will support urgent referrals, clinical assessments, intervention, documentation, and care navigation across multiple communities.
This is a meaningful opportunity for an adaptable and independent clinician who is comfortable travelling between rural sites and collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
Service Area
The assignment may include:
Kindersley, Rosetown, Kerrobert, Biggar, Elrose, Eston, Davidson, Outlook, Lucky Lake, Beechy, Kyle, and surrounding communities.
The broader service area generally spans the region between North Battleford, Humboldt, Moose Jaw, and Swift Current, excluding the City of Saskatoon.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess communication and swallowing needs and determine appropriate clinical recommendations.
- Develop and provide evidence-informed treatment, intervention, education, and follow-up within the assigned scope of service.
- Support urgent referrals, caseload prioritization, and care navigation based on operational and patient needs.
- Collaborate with patients, families, caregivers, physicians, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Maintain complete, accurate, and timely clinical documentation in accordance with professional, privacy, and client requirements.
- Provide consultation, education, and recommendations to healthcare teams and community partners as appropriate.
- Travel between assigned rural communities and adapt service delivery to changing operational priorities.
- Practise in accordance with Saskatchewan regulatory standards, professional ethics, and applicable client policies.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree or equivalent in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Licensed by, or eligible for registration with, the College of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists of Saskatchewan before providing services.
- Clinical experience assessing and supporting individuals with communication and/or swallowing needs.
- Strong clinical judgment, organization, communication, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to multidisciplinary teams.
- Willingness and ability to travel throughout Saskatchewan Health Authority’s SW1 and SW2 service area.
- Availability to support the anticipated contract through March 31, 2027.
- Ability to complete all required credentialing, screening, and client onboarding requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in hospital, community, rehabilitation, rural, or regional healthcare settings.
- Experience managing varied caseloads and prioritizing urgent referrals.
- Familiarity with interdisciplinary care, virtual service delivery, or travel-based clinical practice.
