Kahuna Coffee Company is seeking an energetic and organized Marketing & Events Coordinator to support and manage community marketing initiatives and promotional events for multiple Tim Hortons restaurant locations. This is a contract position ending at the end of August and is ideal for someone who enjoys working in the community, coordinating events, building relationships, and representing a well-known Canadian brand.
The successful candidate will report directly with the franchise owner and will work directly with the restaurant leadership teams to help execute community partnerships, and special events that drive guest engagement and brand awareness. This role would be perfect for post-secondary students who are enrolled in marketing/event planning or related programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage special events for multiple Tim Hortons locations in Oakville and Burlington
- Assist with planning and execution of community outreach initiatives, sponsorships, and promotional campaigns
- Attend and represent Tim Hortons at local events, festivals and community functions
- Organize event materials, signage, prizes, promotional items, and displays
- Communicate and collaborate with restaurant management teams to support local marketing efforts
- Build positive relationships with community organizations and partners
- Track event participation, feedback, and marketing results
- Ensure all events are executed professionally and align with brand standards
- Travel between restaurant locations and event sites as needed
Qualifications & Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
- Previous education or experience in marketing, special event planning, or community engagement preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly organized with strong time management abilities
- Proficient at working independently and managing multiple priorities
- Ability to lift and transport promotional materials and event supplies
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays when events are scheduled
