About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Financial Analyst to act as a key financial partner within one of our main product lines in our manufacturing operations. This central role involves close collaboration with various plant departments, driving financial performance, ensuring strong compliance, and directly contributing to operational excellence and strategic growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately determine the unit cost of each manufactured product to support pricing decisions, inventory valuation, and profitability analysis
- Monitor and control production expenses, identify variances from standards or budgets, and analyze root causes to enable corrective actions
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly financial close, maintaining data integrity and compliance with accounting standards
- Perform in-depth balance sheet reviews to ensure accuracy, identify potential risks, and provide insights into the company’s financial health
- Contribute to the development of realistic and strategic financial forecasts and budgets for the plant, guiding operational decisions and resource allocation
- Maintain a strong internal control environment to safeguard company assets, ensure reliable financial reporting, and guarantee regulatory compliance
- Enhance financial analysis and reporting capabilities by developing innovative tools that deliver more relevant and timely insights to management
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; CPA designation required
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in accounting and/or finance within a manufacturing environment
- Financial Expertise: Strong understanding of income statements, balance sheets, free cash flow, and cost accounting in a manufacturing setting
- Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capability to convert data into strategic insights
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced user of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), and financial modeling
- Communication & Teamwork: Strong communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and foster cross-functional collaboration
- Manufacturing Finance: Solid experience in manufacturing finance, including inventory management and cost optimization
- Strategic Mindset: Highly strategic, detail-oriented, autonomous, and adaptable, with a focus on digital transformation
- Languages: Fluency in French and advanced business-level English are required
