Job Description:
Reporting to the Paint Crew Supervisor the goal of this summer role is to paint ski lift infrastructure including lift stations and towers. The successful applicant will be comfortable working at heights and ideally have some experience working from ropes.
Job Responsibilities:

Assist outdoor summer painting projects as assigned, including ski lift stations, towers, and related infrastructure.

Perform surface preparation, coating application, and corrosion protection work on wood, metal, and structural surfaces
-
Prepare work sites using power washing equipment, scrapers, sandpaper, grinders, and other surface preparation tools as required.

Work at heights on ski lift towers, terminals, and elevated structures using approved access methods including ladders, scaffolding, aerial work platforms, and fall protection systems.

Assist with general maintenance tasks and other work projects as assigned, including support of other trades where required and within ability.
Job Requirements:

Must be comfortable working at heights in accordance with established safety procedures and using fall protection systems.

Ability to readily determine the correct tools and equipment needed to complete assigned work safely and effectively.

Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry equipment in excess of twenty-five (25) pounds
-
Must enjoy working outdoors in all weather conditions including heat, cold, wind, rain, and snow

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

Follow all LLSR policies, procedures, and Occupational Health & Safety requirements
Qualifications:
-
Previous rope experience, either commercial or recreational, is an asset.

Experience with industrial coatings, surface preparation, and corrosion control is an asset.

Valid Class 5 driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract is an asset.

Energetic, self-motivated, and safety-oriented.
-
Ability to prioritize tasks and follow direction with minimal supervision when required.
-
First aid certificate is an asset.
