Position Summary
Employee manufactures electronic or mechanical sub-assemblies or completed assemblies to meet the needs of the department, assists in preparation of orders for delivery to shipping department or other phases of production, assists in training other assemblers, monitors delivery of shortages to kits and updates appropriate paperwork.
Typical Duties:
- Performs various soldering and reworking tasks to motors, circuit boards, or connectors.
- Assembles mechanical components, such as motor sub-assemblies, optical blocks, case assemblies, keyboard assemblies, cable assemblies, and other units as required.
- Tests mechanical, electronic and electrical components, sub-assemblies, and products.
- Assists in training other assemblers in procedures and processes used within the department.
- Assists in delivery of orders to shipping department and builders.
- Assists in maintaining paperwork associated with orders.
Education:
- Minimum 2 year college degree in electronics and/or optics.
Experience:
- Soldering experience required, including both surface mount and through hole.
- Experience in following ESD preventative procedures.
- Experience in assembling small mechanical components.
- Working in a manufacturing environment.
Skills:
- Good soldering skills.
- Good eye/hand coordination.
- Ability to maintain accurate records of work undertaken.
- Ability to read and properly interpret procedures and work instructions.
- Ability to document work done
Candidates must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $45,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
