Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Truck and Trailer Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and industrial equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. Your expertise will help keep our fleet running smoothly, minimize downtime, and uphold the highest standards of quality and reliability. Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on trucks, trailers, and heavy machinery using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment.
- Conduct detailed inspections of vehicle systems including electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components.
- Repair or replace parts such as brakes, engines, transmissions, axles, suspensions, lighting systems, and HVAC units on trucks and trailers.
- Read schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex issues with heavy equipment like excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery.
- Operate heavy equipment such as excavators or forklifts for maintenance or repair purposes when necessary.
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation of repairs performed in compliance with safety standards.
- Ensure all work adheres to safety protocols and industry regulations to promote a safe working environment for yourself and others.
Qualifications
- Proven mechanic experience with a focus on heavy-duty trucks and trailers; dealership experience is highly desirable.
- Strong mechanical knowledge across various systems including electrical, hydraulic, and engine components.
- Hands-on experience with automotive repair tools as well as industrial power tools.
- Ability to interpret schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic codes effectively.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation such as excavators or cranes is a plus.
- Knowledge of welding techniques for repairs involving metal fabrication or assembly tasks.
- Experience working with Caterpillar or similar brands of industrial equipment is advantageous.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly about repairs and maintenance needs.

Pay: $20.00-$44.28 per hour
