We are seeking a detail-oriented and friendly Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team. Duties
- Greet patients and visitors warmly at the front desk, providing excellent customer service.
- Manage appointment scheduling, cancellations, and confirmations using electronic medical records systems Accuro
- Answer multi-line phone systems promptly and professionally, directing calls as needed.
- Collect patient information, verify insurance details, and update electronic health records accurately.
- Assist with check-in and check-out procedures, including processing payments and scheduling follow-up visits.
- Maintain organized patient files and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Support clinical staff by preparing necessary documentation and assisting with administrative tasks as required.
- Handle correspondence, faxing, scanning, and other clerical duties to ensure efficient office workflow.
Requirements
- Prior experience as a Medical Office Assistant is preferred.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records systems Accuro.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and dental terminology is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated experience managing multi-line phone systems in a busy office setting.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate data entry and record keeping.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous office experience in healthcare settings is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication skills, professionalism, and a friendly demeanor are essential for success in this role.
Pay: $16.80-$18.00 per hour
