What Your Day-to-Day Will Look Like
- Review work prepared by other members of the accounting team.
- Prepare tax returns (T1, T2, T3, GST, PST mostly).
- Prepare 4200 Compilation and Review Financials with disclosures.
- Research tax solutions and reporting requirements.
- Prepare year-end entries and reconciliations for corporations.
- Bookkeeping for corporations and proprietorships.
- Have meetings with clients to explain their tax returns.
- Prepare tax plans and project instalments.
- Respond to CRA audits, request adjustments, and see projects through to completion.
- Process payrolls, make slips, and file ROEs.
- Prepare T5, T5018, T4a, and other annual slips.
- Use cloud apps such as: QBO, Xero, DEXT, and more.
- Provide an extremely deep level of support for a cohort of clients with various needs and with total annual billings of between 200k-400k/year.
- Some applicants, if strong, may be given a team to oversee.
You are:
- A CPA or non-designated accountant with CPA public practice experience of 7+ years, and you have performed most the abovementioned tasks.
- Looking for a long-term commitment of 10+ years with a single employer.
It would also be nice (but not crucial) if you had:
- Certifications in QBO, Xero, DEXT, Excel, Word, Outlook, and more.
- A degree or diploma in accounting.
- Average grades of 80% or higher.
- Written recommendations from prior CPA Firms.
- Stayed with a single employer for 5+ years.
Salary and Benefits
- Starting at 70,000 to 125,000/year, depending on ability to complete complex and risky work, experience managing staff, and level of customer service.

Our Recruitment Process
Your application will be reviewed, and those moving to the next steps will be contacted by email or telephone and invited to have an online meeting. If, after this meeting, we have decided not to progress with your application, you will be notified by email because we don't like to leave candidates hanging.
If successful, the candidate will be invited to have an in-person meeting.
The candidate will be asked to complete a brief skills test taking no more than 1 hour and will likely involve verbal questions about tax matters, adjusting journal entries, and more.
We will require at least 1 referral from a previous employer in public practice.
