Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Communicative Disorders Assistant to support speech-language pathologists in providing high-quality care to diverse patient populations. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment, assisting with assessments and therapy sessions across various settings, including pediatric and acute care. Responsibilities
- Assist speech-language pathologists in conducting patient assessments and therapy sessions
- Prepare and organize therapy materials and equipment for sessions
- Support patients of all ages, including pediatrics, in their communication development
- Document patient progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with healthcare regulations
- Observe and report patient responses and progress during therapy sessions
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized treatment environment
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care
Skills
- Experience or familiarity with acute care settings is preferred
- Knowledge of pediatric communication development is advantageous
- Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to speech-language pathology
- Excellent interpersonal skills to connect effectively with patients of all ages
