About the Position
Alumaclad Architectural Inc. is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented ACM Panel Shop Technician/Fabricator to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the fabrication, preparation, packaging, and quality control of Aluminum Composite Material (ACM) panels used in architectural cladding projects.
This position is ideal for someone with experience operating CNC equipment, handling sheet materials, and working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate miter saws and fabrication equipment for ACM panel production.
- Read and interpret shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and cut files.
- Load, unload, and handle ACM sheets safely and efficiently.
- Rout, cut, fold, and prepare ACM panels to project specifications.
- Inspect fabricated panels for quality, accuracy, and finish.
- Label, package, crate, and prepare materials for shipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Assist with inventory management and material tracking.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of shop equipment.
- Work closely with project managers and shop supervisors to meet production schedules.
QualificationsRequired
- Experience working in a manufacturing, fabrication, or construction environment.
- Ability to read measuring tapes and work accurately to specified dimensions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical shop duties.
- Reliable transportation and punctual attendance.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Preferred
- Experience fabricating ACM panels or architectural cladding products.
- CNC router operating experience.
- Forklift certification.
- Ability to read construction drawings and shop drawings.
- Experience with CAD/CAM software and CNC file preparation.
