RATIONAL's sophisticated commercial cooking equipment is manufactured internationally, with the organization headquartered in Germany. The successful candidate will develop deep technical expertise across RATIONAL's iCombi, iVario, iHexagon and ConnectedCooking portfolio and work closely with technical and product counterparts in Germany and North America.
What you'll do
- Become the national technical product authority for RATIONAL Canada.
- Develop an in-depth understanding of the equipment—its functionality, installation, configuration and technical requirements.
- Support technical troubleshooting and complex field escalations.
- Work closely with technical/product teams in Germany and North America.
- Support installation, product configuration and field implementation.
- Help ensure required Canadian/provincial certifications and approvals are obtained and maintained.

- Train Regional Sales Managers, dealers, consultants, kitchen planners and authorized partners on the technical aspects of the products.
- Support new-product introductions, technical documentation and field readiness.
- Travel across Canada to provide national technical/product support.
These responsibilities reflect the role's stated focus on certification, installations, configuration, connectivity, training, technical escalations and field implementation.
You should bring:
- Fluency in both French and English – required
- Strong hands-on understanding of machinery, appliances or sophisticated installed equipment
- Experience with an equipment manufacturer, OEM or machinery/equipment distributor
- Strong experience with installation, configuration, troubleshooting and/or field service
- Ability to understand technical product documentation and translate it into practical field solutions
- Experience training technicians, customers, dealers or other stakeholders
- Exposure to Canadian equipment certification/compliance, CSA/UL-type environments is highly desirable
- Comfort with connected equipment, software, Wi-Fi or IoT-enabled products
- Strong customer-facing and presentation skills
- Ability to travel approximately 60% across Canada
