Cashier / Front Counter Team Member
Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier / Front Counter Team Member to join our dynamic food service team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, ensuring a positive experience through excellent customer service, accurate cash handling, and efficient order processing. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Duties
- Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately using POS systems such as Micros POS.
- Handle cash transactions, process payments, and give correct change.
- Assist with food preparation and ensure food safety and sanitation standards are maintained.
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales.
- Maintain cleanliness of the front counter area, including sanitation of surfaces and utensils.
- Manage food handling responsibilities in accordance with health regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to minimize wait times. Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems, especially Micros POS, is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy.
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Experience in food preparation or kitchen operations is advantageous.
- Ability to upsell menu items to enhance sales opportunities.
- Prior cashiering experience preferred but not required; training will be provided.
