Tobacco Test Shopper

Temporary Part-Time
The Tobacco Test Shopper undertakes the following duties in support of Grey Bruce Public Health’s Environmental
Health Programs.
DUTIES
Approach the retail clerk and request specified tobacco products/electronic cigarettes
Give straightforward and honest answers to questions asked by the retailer that are related to the purchase of
tobacco products/electronic cigarettes
Make observations to be able to describe the retail outlet and retail clerk
Communicate observations to the Enforcement and Education Officer and complete a Test Shopper Report
form
Turn over any tobacco products/electronic cigarettes/other products purchased to the Enforcement and
Education Officer
May be required, on occasion, to appear in court as a Crown witness and provide evidence
QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to speak clearly and be understood
Writes information clearly and legibly
Relates well with others
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Must be between the ages of 15 – 18 within the 2026 calendar year
OTHER
Must be willing to consent to have photograph taken
