Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Occupational Therapist specializing in neurorehabilitation to join our team in Etobicoke and a pediatric OT specializing in ASD and other pediatric conditions, with our northern team in Huntsville, Muskoka, Bracebridge and Granvenhurst. This role involves providing comprehensive patient care, developing individualized treatment plans, and supporting patients through their recovery process. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in home and community settings, as well as clinic settings, and knowledge of medical terminology. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patients’ lives while working within a collaborative healthcare environment.
Time Commitment
This is a contract position securing from 10 hours per week to 37.5 hours per week. Contractors to pick up 1 or 2 clients will also be hired.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients’ physical, cognitive, and emotional needs related to neurological conditions.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans aimed at improving functional independence.
- Provide therapeutic interventions for patients across various age groups, including pediatrics and adults.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes.
- Educate patients and their families on treatment goals, exercises, and safety precautions.
- Document patient progress accurately in accordance with hospital policies and healthcare regulations.
- Manage caseloads efficiently, prioritizing urgent cases and maintaining timely follow-ups.
- Stay current with advances in neurorehabilitation techniques and participate in ongoing professional development.
Experience
- Home and Community and clinic experience working with neurological patients and or in pediatrics, is highly preferred.
- Strong background in patient care within acute care and long term settings is essential.
- Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to neurology and rehabilitation.

Pay: $55.00-$70.00 per hour
