Job Summary
Assemble and service of processing equipment in the aggregate & recycling industry
Responsibilities and Duties
- Ensuring equipment is operational and maintained, in an appropriate and acceptable fashion
- Travel to client locations in Ontario to service equipment
- Using various tools and procedures to repair and service equipment
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and find solutions
- Inspect equipment and diagnose to identify necessary repairs and maintenance. Identify practical fixes to effectively service and repair equipment ensuring proper operating condition and availability for rental and/ or sale.
- Work effectively and efficiently in the shop and/or at the job site. Proactively identify work that is required, and communicate with supervisor regarding work plan. React well when priorities change.
- Complete all paperwork on a timely basis.
- Maintain a clean work vehicle and work area as necessary to maintain a safe work environment
- Follow all company policies and procedures, governmental and equipment related safety
Qualifications and Skills
- 3 + years’ experience working with heavy equipment, Preferable in a technician or mechanic position
- Good hydraulic, electrical and mechanical aptitude and experience with various power tools
- Valid G Driver’s license and clean drivers abstract
- Experience with hydraulics and electrical assembly an asset
- Comfortable multitasking and works well under pressure
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, and experience dealing with customers in the field an asset.
Hourly wage based on experience.
