Overview
We are seeking a skilled Transmission Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience with various tools. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining transmission systems to ensure optimal vehicle performance and safety. The Transmission Specialist will play a vital part in maintaining the reliability of our fleet and customer satisfaction through expert service and technical proficiency.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose transmission issues using mechanical knowledge and diagnostic tools
- Repair or replace transmission components, including clutches, gears, and fluid systems
- Use hand tools and power tools to disassemble, repair, and reassemble transmission units
- Perform routine maintenance on transmission systems to prevent future failures
- Conduct thorough inspections to identify potential problems before they escalate
- Maintain accurate documentation of repairs, parts used, and service performed
- Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards during all repair procedures
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of service orders
Experience
- Proven experience working with mechanical systems, particularly transmissions in automotive or industrial settings
- Familiarity with hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, and power tools like drills and impact drivers
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to read technical manuals and schematics
- Prior experience in diagnosing complex transmission problems is preferred but not required
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Pay: $41,335.23-$80,000.00 per year
