Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Camp Counsellors to join our vibrant summer camp team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with children and youth, fostering a fun, safe, and engaging environment. Ideal candidates are passionate about teaching, mentoring, and creating memorable experiences for campers. As a Camp Counsellor, you will play a vital role in guiding campers through various activities, ensuring their safety, and encouraging personal growth.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and engage with campers during daily activities, including sports, arts and crafts, outdoor adventures, and team-building exercises
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment that promotes teamwork, respect, and fun
- Assist in planning and leading age-appropriate activities that enhance campers’ skills and confidence
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all campers by monitoring their behavior and responding promptly to any concerns
- Support campers with personal needs and encourage good behavior through positive reinforcement
- Collaborate with fellow staff members to maintain a structured daily schedule
- Uphold camp policies and safety procedures at all times to ensure a secure environment for everyone

- Strong teaching ability to effectively communicate instructions and facilitate activities for diverse age groups
- Excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport with children, parents, and team members
- Patience, adaptability, and enthusiasm to handle dynamic situations in a lively camp setting
- Ability to lead by example, demonstrating responsibility, integrity, and teamwork
- Creative mindset for developing engaging activities that promote learning and fun
- Previous experience working with children or in educational settings is a plus but not required; training will be provided for successful candidates
Pay: $17.20-$17.60 per hour
