Onua Bakery is a growing artisan bakery and café blending West African heritage with French artisanal baking techniques. We specialize in sourdough breads, African-style breads, viennoiseries, and handcrafted pastries, with a strong focus on quality, creativity, and community.

We are looking for an experienced Artisan Baker to join our team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about bread production, fermentation, and quality craftsmanship who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and produce high-quality sourdough and African-style breads using traditional and modern techniques, with training provided where needed
- Dough mixing, scaling, shaping, fermentation management, and baking
- Prepare pound cakes, chin chin, meat pies, cookies, and other bakery items
- Maintain consistency and product quality standards
- Operate bakery equipment including mixers, ovens, and proofing equipment
- Assist with inventory organization and ingredient preparation
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and workplace safety
- Contribute to improving production workflow and efficiency
Qualifications, Skills, and Conditions:
- Experience in bread production or bakery environment preferred
- Knowledge of fermentation and dough handling is an asset
- Ability to follow recipes and procedures accurately
- Strong attention to detail and consistency
- Team player with positive attitude
- Ability to document processes and procedures
- French or English communication skills

Job Types: Full-time
Salary: $19 - 22.0/hour +
Pay: $19.00-$22.30 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
