Established Barrie business is looking to fill a permanent job opening. This job has three different job duties . Primary job is warehouse manager to look after large inventory of sheet metal. Secondary are deliveries using our F-450 truck and shearing of both sheets and coils.
Primary tasks are, but not limited to, warehouse management and shear operator. Responsibility for all incoming and outgoing materials, keeping warehouse tidy and in working order. Cutting stock metal for inventory/delivery. Qualified persons will be taught the position, no experience necessary but must be able to read a tape measure.
Deliveries are with a 14ft Flat Deck Truck, range is Toronto to North Bay and make up 20% of the job. Applicants require a valid G drivers license with a clean driving record. Be physically capable to handle material and experienced in handling heavy loads. There are many physical requirements but most lifting is done with an overhead crane.
This position will require a fair amount of learning, however this is its own reward as each day is different and without routine. Starting wage is negotiable and based on experience, advancement is possible. Benefit package included.
