The Packaging Line Associate is responsible for the safe, efficient, and accurate packaging of cosmetic products in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and company quality standards. This role supports production operations by ensuring products are packaged, labeled, inspected, and documented correctly while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate, monitor, and support automated and manual packaging equipment, including filling, capping, labeling, coding, cartoning, and case packing equipment.
- Assemble packaging materials and prepare production lines for scheduled manufacturing runs.
- Perform line clearance before and after production to prevent product mix-ups and cross-contamination.
- Verify packaging components, labels, lot numbers, expiration dates, and product codes before and during production.
- Conduct in-process quality inspections to ensure products meet specifications and report any defects or deviations immediately.
- Complete production records, batch documentation, equipment logs, and other GMP documentation accurately and legibly.
- Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), safety policies, and hygiene requirements.
- Maintain cleanliness of packaging equipment and work areas through routine cleaning and sanitization procedures.
- Assist with equipment setup, changeovers, and minor troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
- Safely handle raw materials, packaging components, finished goods, and waste according to company procedures.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in safety, quality, and production efficiency.
- Work collaboratively with Production, Quality Assurance, Warehouse, and Maintenance teams.
- Participate in GMP, health and safety, and job-specific training as required.
- Adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), health and safety regulations, and company policies.
- Maintaining data integrity and accurate production documentation.
- Reporting quality concerns, equipment issues, safety hazards, and non-conformances immediately.
- Supporting inspections, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensuring all products are packaged according to approved specifications and customer requirements.
- May require overtime, weekend work, or shift work based on production schedules.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous manufacturing or packaging experience preferred.
- Experience in cosmetic, pharmaceutical, food, or consumer packaged goods manufacturing is an asset.
- Experience working in a GMP-regulated environment is preferred.
- Strong written and oral communication skills

- Frequently lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25 lbs (11 kg); occasionally up to 50 lbs (23 kg) with assistance.
- Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements.
- Ability to bend, reach, twist, and kneel as required.
- Manual dexterity sufficient to handle small packaging components.
