Duties
- Perform professional nail services including manicures, pedicures, gel nails, acrylics, and nail art with precision and care
- Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in all work areas, tools, and products to ensure client safety and hygiene compliance
- Consult with clients to understand their preferences, recommend suitable nail treatments, and upsell additional services or retail products effectively
- Stay updated on the latest nail trends, techniques, and industry best practices such as color theory, nail care treatments, and new product applications
- Manage appointment schedules efficiently to maximize client satisfaction and salon productivity
- Build strong relationships with clients through excellent customer service skills, ensuring repeat business and positive reviews
- Collaborate with team members to create a welcoming atmosphere that promotes client comfort and loyalty
Qualifications
- Valid cosmetology or esthetician license with certification in nail technology required
- Proficiency in a variety of nail techniques including gel application, acrylics, and intricate nail art designs
- Knowledge of sanitation standards and proper sterilization procedures for tools and workspaces
- Experience with advanced treatments such as eyelash extensions, body waxing, dermabrasion, or esthetic laser treatments is a plus
- Strong communication skills to effectively understand client needs and provide personalized recommendations
- Ability to upsell retail products confidently while maintaining genuine customer care
- Familiarity with retail math principles to manage sales transactions accurately
- Passion for continuous learning about new trends like hair extensions, hair styling, barbering techniques, or hair threading
