Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Intake Coordinator to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing patient intake processes, ensuring accurate documentation, and providing excellent customer service. This role is vital in facilitating smooth patient flow and supporting clinical staff by efficiently handling administrative tasks related to patient registration and data entry. Prior experience in medical offices, especially dental or healthcare settings, is highly valued. Duties
- Greet patients upon arrival and assist with check-in procedures
- Collect and verify patient information, including insurance details and medical history
- Enter patient data accurately into electronic medical records systems
- Schedule appointments and follow-up visits as needed
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding their appointments and required documentation
- Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure all necessary paperwork is completed prior to appointments
- Maintain confidentiality of all patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Manage incoming calls, respond to inquiries, and provide exceptional customer service
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
Requirements
- Prior experience in a medical or dental office setting preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare procedures
- Experience working with electronic medical records (EMRs) systems
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor
- Office experience that demonstrates proficiency in administrative tasks
- Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly and maintain confidentiality
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional healthcare certifications are a plus

Pay: $45,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
