Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction estimating and project management. This role is crucial for ensuring accurate pricing and effective negotiation strategies that contribute to the successful completion of construction projects.
Duties
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for various construction projects, including materials, labor, and overhead costs.
- Analyze blueprints and other project documents to determine project scope and requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for accurate estimates.
- Utilize software tools like Zoho to create and manage estimates efficiently.
- Conduct market research to stay updated on pricing trends and material costs.
- Review and adjust estimates based on changes in project scope or specifications.
- Maintain organized records of estimates, proposals, and contracts for future reference.
- Customer relations with Walk-In Clients
- Advanced communication skills, written and verbal, ability to compose and edit correspondence for grammar, content and accuracy
- Maintain working relationships with vendors and subcontractors
- Show leadership skills in problem solving.
- Responsible for building a network of clients to sell fences too.
- Work within a team to complete our goals
- Be a good team player.
- Complete estimate’s inside the allotted time frame
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Construction Estimator or similar role within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and pricing strategies.
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with various clients
- Strong project management skills, capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy in estimating costs.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
- Must be proficient with MS Word and Excel
- Must be able to multi-Task
- Must be a self-starter
