Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a positive learning environment, fostering student growth, and delivering engaging instruction across various age groups. Duties
- Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards for early childhood or school-age students
- Deliver engaging instruction in subjects such as language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies
- Assess student progress through observations, tests, and assignments; provide constructive feedback
- Foster a positive classroom environment that promotes respect, cooperation, and active participation
- Adapt teaching strategies to accommodate students with special needs or disabilities
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and support staff to support student success
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and behavioral reports
- Utilize computer skills for lesson planning, record keeping, and communication purposes
- Manage classroom behavior effectively using leadership and organizational skills
- Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching practices
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children in educational or childcare settings; classroom experience preferred
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities in French or other languages are a plus
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and special education strategies
- Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities or special needs
- Excellent organizational skills and time management to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently
- Proficiency in computer operation and software relevant to education (e.g., educational platforms, word processing)
- Demonstrated leadership qualities and the ability to foster a collaborative learning environment
- Strong writing skills for lesson planning and documentation purposes
- Valid certification or licensure in teaching or relevant educational credentials preferred
