Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Class 1 Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting our products across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. This role offers an opportunity to work with a great team in a fast-paced environment, utilizing driving skills to support our operational needs.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks to transport our products to designated locations
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, delivery documentation, and vehicle maintenance records
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during transit
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and personnel regarding delivery schedules and issues
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary to ensure vehicle readiness
- Assist with shop operations, including light maintenance when not on the road
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL license
- Ability to operate the truck and trailer safely and efficiently
- Knowledge of company procedures and safety protocols
- Basic automotive repair skills for troubleshooting vehicle issues
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and record keeping
- Excellent communication skills for coordination with team members and clients
