About the Role
We are looking for a warm, energetic, and highly reliable Evening Nanny / Babysitter to support our family by caring for our two young children (a 3-year-old and a toddler) in our home.
This role is perfect for someone who excels at managing multiple young children at once and can help us maintain a calm, positive environment during the busy evening hours. If you are patient, attentive, and love helping little ones wind down after a busy day, we would love to meet you!
Key Responsibilities
- Evening Care: Supervise and ensure the safety of children at all times during scheduled shifts.
- Active Engagement: Keep both children happily engaged with calm, age-appropriate evening activities (reading books, puzzles, quiet floor play, or drawing).
- Bedtime & Routine Support: Assist with the evening routine, which may include helping with pajamas, diaper changes for the toddler, potty routines, and prepping/serving light evening snacks.
- Light Tidying: Keep the play areas, kitchen, and children's spaces tidy before your shift ends.
- Safety & Supervision: Maintain a highly attentive eye to ensure both children are safe and supervised at all times.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience caring for toddlers and young children simultaneously is required.
- Adaptability: Highly flexible ,able to anticipate needs and take initiative without constant supervision.
- Transportation: A valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle are essential to comfortably commute to our Puslinch location for evening shifts.
- Certifications: A valid Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) and current CPR/First Aid certification are required.
- Personal Attributes: A trustworthy, punctual, and detail-oriented communicator who respects family privacy while demonstrating strong caregiving skills rooted in patience, compassion, and reliability.
- Bonus Asset: A background or familiarity with Montessori methods (encouraging independence in children) is a major plus!
