Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Locksmith to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining security hardware, including locks, access control systems. This role requires a strong technical background, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to interpret schematics and blueprints. The Locksmith will ensure the safety and security of our clients' facilities by providing expert services in lock systems and electronic security devices.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain mechanical and electronic locking systems across various facilities.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams related to security hardware.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to complete installation and repair tasks efficiently.
- Conduct routine inspections of lock hardware.
- Collaborate with construction teams during new builds or renovations requiring security system integration.
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed and system configurations for client records.
- Adhere to safety protocols
Experience
- Proven experience working as a locksmith or in a related security installation role.
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and technical diagrams related to security systems.
- Hands-on experience with mechanical locks.
- Ability to operate hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, drills; power tools including drills and saws; power equipment safely.
- Knowledge of construction practices relevant to installing security hardware in various environments.
- Mechanical knowledge applicable to lock mechanisms and physical hardware components is preferred. Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
