A day in the life as a UI/UX Developer at Heighten Security…
We are looking for a UI/UX Developer who can design clean, modern, and user-friendly interfaces that are practical to implement in Angular-based applications. The ideal candidate should understand both design principles and frontend development constraints, so the designs are not just visually appealing but also compatible with Angular components, responsive layouts, and real-world implementation.
Cybersecurity domain knowledge is a plus, especially experience designing dashboards, portals, risk platforms, compliance tools, or security-related applications.
Your areas of knowledge and expertise:
Design modern, clean, and responsive UI/UX for web applications.
- Create Angular-compatible designs that can be converted into reusable frontend components.
- Work on dashboards, forms, tables, cards, navigation layouts, reports, and user workflows.
- Build wireframes, mock ups, prototypes, and final UI screens using tools such as Figma.
- Collaborate with developers to ensure designs are technically feasible in Angular.
- Maintain consistency in spacing, typography, colors, icons, and component behavior.
- Improve existing screens for better usability, accessibility, and visual quality.
- Design user flows for admin panels, customer portals, security dashboards, and SaaS products.
- Provide clear design specifications for frontend implementation.
Required Skills
- Strong experience in UI/UX design for web applications.
- Good understanding of Angular frontend structure, including components, routing, forms, tables, reusable layouts, and responsive design.
- Hands-on experience with Figma, Adobe XD, or similar design tools.
- Ability to design screens that are practical for frontend developers to implement.
- Strong understanding of responsive design for desktop, tablet, and mobile.
- Good knowledge of design systems, component libraries, typography, spacing, and usability principles.
- Ability to convert business requirements into clean user journeys and screen designs.
- Strong attention to detail.
Good to Have
- Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, Tailwind CSS, Bootstrap, or Angular Material.
- Experience working with SaaS platforms, admin portals, dashboards, or B2B applications.
- Cybersecurity knowledge or experience designing security-related products.
- Familiarity with concepts such as risk scores, vulnerabilities, tickets, alerts, compliance, identity, cloud security, or security posture management.
- Ability to create simple frontend prototypes in Angular is a plus.
Contract Expectations
- This is a contract-based role.
- The candidate should be able to work independently with clear deliverables.
- Weekly progress updates and design reviews may be required.
- Payment terms and project scope will be discussed during the interview.
