Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Chicken Catcher to join our team. This role involves physically demanding and repetitive tasks essential to the efficient operations, including the safe and humane handling of poultry during processing. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, physical stamina, and an interest in farm operations.
Duties
- Safely catch and handle chickens during processing operations, ensuring humane treatment at all times
- Assist in the loading and unloading of poultry for transport or processing
- Perform heavy lifting tasks as required to move poultry or equipment safely
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to prevent injury and ensure animal welfare
- Travel to and from farms in work vehicle
Qualifications
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks consistently and repetitivly
- Prior experience working on a farm or in agricultural settings is a plus
- Strong attention to safety protocols and animal handling standards
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Willingness to learn new skills related to poultry handling and farm operations
