ASK Environmental is a growing abatement and environmental services company looking to hire an Occupational Hygienist to our team. As a consultant, you will provide occupational hygiene services for a variety of air quality testing, and asbestos and mold abatement projects. You will be part of a close-knit team focusing on occupational hygiene and hazardous materials testing.
You have the opportunity to:
- Collaborate with other team members in our team-focused culture completing fulfilling work
- Follow legislation, company policies, procedures and methodologies to complete tasks
- Provide technical support and knowledge to assist in developing new forward-minded policies and procedures
You will provide occupational hygiene services including:
- Conduct hazardous materials assessments for asbestos, mold, lead, etc
- Supervise asbestos and mold abatement activities
- Complete site assessments and complete reporting requirements on site conditions
- Conduct Air Quality Testing, including indoor air and occupational hygiene
- Assist on a variety of assignments and scope of works as required
- Following Provincial OHS legislation and AIHA/ACGIH Standards
Qualifications:
- CIH, ROH, or ROHT
- Degree in Science
- 2+ Years of Experience in a Similar Occupational Hygiene Position
- Experience working in the hazardous materials industry
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Valid Class 5 drivers licence with no restrictions
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment (including tyvek suit and respiratory mask)
- Ability to work in a team-focused environment
This position is based out of Red Deer. Hours include daytime hours, Monday to Friday, with occasional evenings and weekends as required. Wage will be based on required qualifications and experience
