Duties
- Provide a variety of hair styling services including cuts, color, treatments, and styling tailored to client preferences
- Consult with clients to understand their desired look and recommend suitable styles and products
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of tools, equipment, and workstations in accordance with health regulations
- Upsell retail products that complement client needs and enhance their overall experience
- Manage front desk responsibilities such as scheduling appointments, greeting clients, and processing payments
- Foster positive client relationships through excellent communication skills and personalized service
- Stay updated on the latest hair trends, techniques, and industry best practices to ensure high-quality service delivery
Qualifications
- Valid cosmetology or license as required by state regulations
- Proven experience in hair styling with a strong portfolio of work preferred
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clients
- Knowledge of sanitation standards and safety protocols in a salon setting
- Ability to upsell retail products tactfully to enhance client satisfaction and salon revenue
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members
- Experience with retail sales and front desk operations is a plus
