Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Line Cook and Prep Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing ingredients, cooking menu items, and assisting in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. This role is vital to delivering high-quality food and exceptional service to our guests, ensuring a smooth and efficient kitchen operation.
Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients through washing, chopping, marinating, and portioning to ensure timely meal preparation
- Cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards, maintaining consistency and quality
- Assist in food plating and garnishing to enhance visual appeal
- Follow food safety guidelines and proper handling procedures at all times
- Maintain cleanliness of work stations, utensils, and kitchen equipment in compliance with health regulations
- Support the kitchen team during busy hours by efficiently managing multiple tasks
- Ensure proper storage of ingredients and leftovers to prevent waste and contamination
- Collaborate with team members to uphold a positive work environment focused on teamwork and customer satisfaction
Skills
- Proven experience in serving, food preparation, cooking, or food service within a restaurant or food industry setting
- Strong knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety standards
- Ability to perform meal preparation efficiently under time constraints
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and basic culinary techniques
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in food presentation and cleanliness
- Good communication skills to work effectively within a team environment
- Prior restaurant experience is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
