Schedule: Monday–Friday | Occasional overtime available
About Us
Orchard City Electric Ltd. is a growing electrical contracting company based in Kelowna, BC. We do residential and light commercial work across the Okanagan — new builds, renovations, and service calls. We're a small team, and we want to stay small on purpose: tight communication, real autonomy on the tools, and no red tape.
We're not looking for someone who needs their hand held. We're looking for someone who takes ownership of their work, treats the customer's home like their own, and wants to grow alongside a company that's building something worth being part of.
The Role
You'll run your own projects day-to-day — new construction, residential and light commercial renovations, and service work. You'll be paired with an apprentice and expected to mentor them on the job. We trust our journeymen to make decisions in the field without being micromanaged.
What You'll Do
- Install, wire, and commission electrical systems on new residential and commercial builds
- Complete renovation and service work to BC Electrical Code standards
- Lead and mentor an apprentice on site
- Communicate directly with site supervisors and homeowners when needed
- Pull your own weight and hold your work to a high standard
What We're Looking For
- Red Seal Journeyman Electrician certificate (required)
- Valid BC Class 5 driver's license with a clean abstract (required)
- Experience in residential new construction, renovation, and/or service work
- Someone who works independently and takes initiative
- Strong communication — you'll represent Orchard City Electric on site
