Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled HET Heavy Duty Mechanic or HET Apprentice to join our team. This role involves maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting heavy machinery and industrial equipment to ensure optimal operation and safety. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background, experience with various types of heavy equipment, and a commitment to quality workmanship. Duties and Skills required:
- Tractors and trailers, End dump trailers, Walking floor trailers, Chip Trailers, Front End Loaders, etc.
- Preventative maintenance and inspections
- Engine diagnostics and repairs
- Electrical troubleshooting
- Brake, suspension, and steering systems
- DEF and emissions systems diagnostics and repairs
- Computer diagnostics and fault code troubleshooting
- General fleet maintenance and repairs
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Class 5 Driver's License required
- Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship
- Positive attitude and dependable work ethic
