About the role
Ocean Ridge Group is a paper trading company based in Vaughan. We source specialty paper material from manufacturers and distribute it to buyers globally. We're looking for a Business Development Representative to help us grow our network of suppliers.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys research, outreach, and building relationships. No prior paper industry experience is required — we'll provide full training on our process.
Responsibilities
- Research and identify paper manufacturers that fit our sourcing needs
- Reach out to potential suppliers via email, phone, and LinkedIn
- Schedule and coordinate introductory meetings
- Support ongoing communication and relationship management with existing suppliers
- Maintain organized records of outreach and contacts
Requirements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable with phone and email outreach
- Organized and able to manage multiple contacts and follow-ups
- Self-motivated and reliable
- Experience in sales, business development, or customer service is an asset but not required
