We are expanding our team and looking for reliable and skilled AZ Truck Drivers to join our growing transportation operation. With knowledge of traffic law, reefers, straight trucks, containers, flatbeds and loading and unloading. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and customer service, ensuring that deliveries are made on time and in excellent condition.
Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles safely and efficiently
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in safe working order.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle maintenance, and delivery schedules.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status and any potential delays.
- Load and unload freight as necessary, ensuring proper handling of goods.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations related to transportation.
- Assist with minor automotive repairs when needed to ensure vehicle reliability.
- Work weekends occasionally
Skills
- Rail experience considered an asset but not mandatory if you are willing to learn
- Minimum 3-year verifiable letter of experience.
- Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid driver's license.
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety regulations.
- Familiarity with automotive repair techniques is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with team members and clients.
- A commitment to safety practices and attention to detail.
