This role is centered on field-based leadership and physical site execution, operating in close coordination with an overseeing Project Manager who manages high-level administration. Candidates must be highly organized and capable of managing the construction operations of multiple residential sites simultaneously, all at varying stages of the project lifecycle.
While the primary focus is driving on-site quality and schedule adherence, a background or proficiency in preparing scopes of work and trade tendering is highly valued. You will collaborate during the initial project setup to finalize scopes, manage tendering, and establish schedules, before executing the physical build and serving as the primary professional face of the project for our clients.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Pre-Construction & Tendering: Review project hand-offs, draft detailed scopes of work, and manage the sub-trade bidding process prior to groundbreaking.
- Site Management & Supervision: Direct and supervise all site personnel, sub-trades, and daily physical progress across multiple active jobsites.
- Budget Oversight: Actively track job costs and field expenditures throughout the construction phase to ensure projects remain on financial target.
- Schedule & Accountability: Build and maintain construction schedules and hold sub-contractors and suppliers accountable to project timelines.
- Operations & Coordination: Work with subcontractors and suppliers on planning, reading drawings, interpreting specifications, and coordinating material deliveries.
- Client Relations: Act as the primary on-site representative for clients, maintaining professional communication and managing design and execution expectations throughout the build.
- Quality Control: Proactively address deficiencies, ensure trades rectify all deficiencies in a timely manner, and maintain Square One levels of quality and design intent.
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards across all sites in compliance with WorkSafeBC regulations.
- Project Partnership: Collaborate regularly with the overseeing Project Manager to review project health, budgets, and scheduling updates for final approval.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Field-Based Experience: 5+ years of direct, hands-on construction field experience (e.g., Lead Carpenter, Site Superintendent). A verifiable background in carpentry or residential building is required.
- Multitasking & Portfolio Management: A proven track record of successfully running multiple physical construction projects simultaneously through different phases of completion.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in drafting scopes of work, managing sub-trade tendering, and using construction project management software.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal and professional communication skills required to manage sub-contractors and maintain excellent client relationships.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary: $100,000 – $150,000 per year (depending on experience)

Pay: $100,000.00-$150,000.00 per year
