As a Mobile Field Technician at OnSite Rentals, you will operate independently in the field while partnering closely with local OSR rental locations. You are responsible for diagnosing and repairing equipment at OSR stores and customer job sites, ensuring the rental fleet is fully rental‑ready at all times.
This role blends independent field execution with strong collaboration across store and operations teams — helping maximize fleet uptime, improve turnaround speed, and deliver a seamless, high‑quality customer experience.

Communicate directly with customers and OSR colleagues

Perform on‑site repairs to minimize downtime

Coordinate with store teams for parts and equipment swaps

Balance scheduled maintenance with urgent breakdowns

Manage your schedule with Operations leaders based on priority and productivity

Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues to maintain rental readiness

Service compact equipment, including:
-
General tools (chainsaws, demolition tools, etc.)
-
Skid steers, mini‑excavators (<10,000 lbs), trenchers
-
Perform preventive maintenance and equipment inspections
-
Support OSR store locations in maintaining rental‑ready fleet condition
-
Respond to emergency service calls with urgency
-
Ensure equipment meets safety standards before returning to service

Act as the face of OSR in the field and an extension of the store team

Minimize customer downtime and protect project timelines
-
Build trust through professionalism, reliability, and communication

Partner with store colleagues to deliver consistent, high‑quality service

Drive repeat business through responsiveness and execution

Follow all OSR safety protocols and procedures
-
Operate safely in dynamic and active job‑site environments
-
Handle fuels, fluids, and materials properly and responsibly
-
Maintain accurate service documentation using OSR technology platforms
-
Manage service vehicle, tools, and parts inventory
-
Coordinate effectively with stores and operations teams
-
3+ years of equipment repair experience (rental, construction, or similar)
-
Strong knowledge of hydraulics, electrical systems, and small engines
-
Hands‑on experience with compact equipment required
-
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Base Pay: CAD $25+/hour
