Line Cook – Temporary
About Our Client
Our client is looking for staff to work at a base in Borden. You will be working in a kitchen to feed 100’s of hungry staff, visitors and workers, on a daily basis. This position requires a criminal background check, a vulnerable sector check, food handlers certification & a vehicle (not bus accessible). If you fit this criteria, please apply!
What You Will Be Doing, as a Line Cook:
- Follow all guidelines for food preparation; recipe adherence; brand standard adherence.
- Receive stock, store and check for quality and quantity; ensuring that all stock is dated and rotated.
- Prepare all necessary food items in a timely manner. Serve customers with visually appealing products, hot/cold food and beverages during service times.
- Safely operate kitchen equipment.
- To accept payment and give change to customers, including operating a till in accordance to all cash handling procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
What You Should Have, as a Line Cook:
- Preferably experience of at least 1 year
- Must pass a Criminal Background Check
- Must provide a Vulnerable Sector Check
- Must have a valid Food Safety/Handling Certificate
- Must have a vehicle – this role is not transit bus accessible.
- Strong communication skills in English is a must
- Able to follow verbal and written instructions
In Return, You Will Receive:
- $18.00/hr plus 4 % vacation pay accrued and paid out when requested
- Access to a Vertical Representative Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm
The Shift You Will be Working is:
- Week day shifts
- Monday to Friday
