Our charter school, with an EAL mandate, has two exciting teaching opportunities at the elementary level.
-Teacher - Elementary Generalist ( to cover a parental leave)
-Teacher - Grade 3 (to cover a retirement)
We are seeking 2 Elementary Teachers with the following credentials:
· understanding of teacher competencies and growth within the Teaching Quality
Standard
· subject expertise (training) in the curriculum, especially in the areas of literacy
· understanding of technology to leverage learning
· experience with diverse learners, including creating I.E.P.'s, implementing a range of strategies in an inclusive classroom and monitoring for impact
· commitment to differentiated teaching practice and assessment through structured, inquiry-based practice
· being able to develop and foster an engaging learning environment; to challenge and inspire learners
· an understanding of and interest in undertaking action research
· the ability to make positive contributions to an evolving school culture through a
disposition of professionalism (flexibility, integrity, teamwork, and accountability)
