Kitchen Manager / Chef
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Kitchen Manager/Chef to lead our culinary team and deliver exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong culinary expertise, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for creating high-quality food while maintaining an efficient and positive kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, and schedule kitchen staff, including cooks and food handlers, to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Oversee all food preparation and cooking to maintain consistency, quality, and presentation standards.
- Develop and update menus in collaboration with management, incorporating seasonal offerings, customer preferences, and dietary accommodations.
- Ensure full compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
- Manage inventory, order supplies, and monitor food costs to maximize profitability and minimize waste.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate kitchen staff on food preparation techniques, safety procedures, and service expectations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment that meets all health code requirements.
- Foster a positive, collaborative team culture while promoting high standards of hospitality and professionalism.
- Assist with operational planning and continuous improvement of kitchen procedures and service.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Kitchen Manager, Head Chef, Sous Chef, or similar leadership role in a restaurant or hospitality environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
- Extensive knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations.
- Thorough understanding of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling practices.
- Experience managing inventory, controlling food costs, and ordering supplies.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Experience with menu planning and knowledge of current culinary trends is an asset.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
