Duties
- Manage and monitor website hosting environments across cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure, ensuring optimal uptime and performance.
- Maintain and configure server infrastructure using virtualization technologies like VMware and ESXi to support website operations.
- Develop, test, and deploy web applications utilizing programming languages such as JavaScript, Java, Python, Bash scripting, Shell scripting, and PL/SQL.
- Administer databases including MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and NoSQL solutions to support website data needs.
- Configure and troubleshoot DNS settings, VPN connections, REST APIs, Kubernetes clusters, and container orchestration to ensure secure connectivity and scalability.
- Implement DevOps practices using tools like Git, Jenkins, and Docker to streamline deployment pipelines.
- Monitor network security protocols including firewall configurations, SSL certificates, and security patches to safeguard digital assets against threats.
- Conduct regular backups, updates, and security audits to maintain system integrity across Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize website performance through analytics tools and user feedback.
Qualifications
- Proven experience managing web hosting environments on AWS, Azure, or similar cloud platforms.
- Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies such as VMware ESXi.
- Proficiency in database management with SQL (T-SQL), NoSQL databases like MongoDB or Cassandra; familiarity with MySQL and PostgreSQL is preferred.
- Solid understanding of operating systems including Windows Server and various Linux distributions.
- Expertise in DNS configuration, VPN setup, REST API integration, Kubernetes orchestration, and containerization.
- Hands-on experience with scripting languages such as Bash (Unix shell), Python, JavaScript, Java, Shell Scripting or PL/SQL for automation tasks.
- Familiarity with DevOps tools like Git version control system and Jenkins CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of computer networking principles including TCP/IP protocols, firewalls, load balancers, and security best practices.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues efficiently while maintaining clear documentation.
