We are a small tour/sightseeing company in Victoria, offering day tours. Most tours start ~10am and end of day around 3pm. Tuesdays to Sundays. We offer 5 star service on all tours offered. You work on your own through-out the day showing off Southern Vancouver Island to guests from around the world. It's a fun day and we look forward to meeting the candidate that easily meets and greets people with clean commercial drivers license.
Job description
While this job requires a Class #4 drivers license or better (not class #5 which all driver have) we also seek someone who loves to meet new people from around the world, and loves to show off our beautiful Island.
Typically your days required can be flexible for the right candidate. We try to work around everybody’s schedules and needs.
The perfect candidate will be paid hourly and every Friday, you keep all tips.
Must know the area, we do train of course but must be able to work unsupervised and know how to use technology such as texting, hands free, blue-tooth in vehicles.
Must speak clear and English. Other languages a bonus however all tours are conducted in English. Clean appearance.
Your schedule be posted well in advance and you have access to that at any time online, we are flexible and can move staff around as required.
We have a great team members, and we hope that you would fit into this team even though you would be working independently throughout the day.
We depart in small numbers of 4 to 14 passengers. Must have the gift to chat and always be positive when asked questions about Victoria and other businesses.
Most tours start at 10am. & 1pm with end of most days at 6 PM or earlier we do have the occasional evening tours.
Some evening tours in summer.
Must be very punctual as customers are waiting for you. You will also be required to clean the vehicle you drive end of day and throughout the day.
All our tours have a 5-star rating and we expect you do also provide our high standard of customer service. Smile, welcome guests and have a great day!
It’s a pretty simple day out of 5 1/2 hour day. You’re probably waiting 2 1/2 hours of free time while each guest is enjoying the local attractions.
You will also be responsible to to go through your daily paperwork to organize your pick ups for customers on a timely fashion.
To ensure all is running smooth you will be expected to update your day tour experience with office via text.
It's a fun day as guests are on holidays and happy to be exploring with you.
We do work all year except January and most of February.
Perfect job for those recently retired. If you only want one day a week and your are a perfect candidate, we would look at that as well typical days or 5.5 hours.. Must live in the Victoria area.. Must be over 25 years for ICBC insurance.
