Barista – Jeffrey’s Café Kiosk
Montrose Cultural Centre | Permanent Part-Time | 20–25 Hours per Week
Do you love great coffee—both making it and drinking it? Are you happiest when you’re baking, preparing fresh sandwiches and creating a welcoming experience for customers? Jeffrey’s Café is looking for a friendly and dependable Barista to join our kiosk team at the Montrose Cultural Centre.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare and serve high-quality espresso drinks, coffee and other beverages
- Bake and prepare fresh food items according to Jeffrey’s recipes and standards
- Make sandwiches and assist with daily food preparation
- Welcome customers and provide friendly, efficient service
- Operate the point-of-sale system and handle payments accurately
- Keep the kiosk clean, organized, stocked and ready for service
- Follow food-safety procedures and Jeffrey’s brand standards
- Work independently while contributing to a positive team environment
What We’re Looking For
- A genuine love of coffee, food and customer service
- Friendly, positive and comfortable talking with customers
- Dependable, punctual and able to work independently
- Strong attention to detail and pride in quality
- Able to follow recipes, procedures and brand standards consistently
- Comfortable working in a busy, customer-focused environment
- Previous barista, baking, food-preparation or customer-service experience is an asset, but we are willing to train the right person
Position Details
- Permanent part-time position
- Approximately 20–30 hours per week
- Located at the Jeffrey’s Café Kiosk inside the Montrose Cultural Centre
- A mix of weekday and Saturday availability may be required
