Overview
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our team. This role is important for the operation of our kitchen and dining room by preparing high-quality dishes and supporting the overall food service process. Ideal candidates will have some previous experience in food service, the want to be create their own features and specials in collaboration with the chef owner and works well under pressure in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Duties
- Prep ingredients and assemble plates according to recipes and standards
- Cook menu items with consistency, quality, and efficiency
- Assist in food prep tasks such as chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and kitchen equipment
- Follow food safety guidelines to ensure proper handling, storage, and sanitation of all ingredients and utensils, have safe food handler certification or willing to obtain it within 30 days of hire
- Support the kitchen team during busy service hours to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Put away orders and supplies as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations
Requirements
- Safe Food Handler Certification
- The want to learn and also bring your own ideas to the table
- Strong teamwork skills and good communication abilities
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and evenings as needed
