Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Caregiver/Companion to provide high-quality support and assistance to a woman with RETT Syndrome in need of personal care. This role involves working closely with her helping her maintain her physical ability and quality of life. The ideal candidate will have experience in one on one care or nursing home environments and possess a genuine desire to make a positive impact on clients’ daily lives.
Duties
- Assist her with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Provide companionship to reduce feelings of loneliness and promote mental well-being
- Administer medications accurately according to prescribed schedules
- Support her with mobility and transfers as necessary
- Monitor and record daily activities
- Engage her in recreational activities or exercises suitable for her condition
- Assist with transportation to appointments or errands as needed
Skills
- Experience in assisted living, nursing home, or home care settings
- Knowledge of working with individuals with disabilities
- Strong caregiving skills with a compassionate and patient demeanor
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with other workers and family
- Skills in medication administration following proper protocols
- Familiarity with care practices and safety procedures
- First aid and current drivers license required (driving abstract required)
