We support spectacular drone light shows across Canada and the U.S. and are looking for reliable, enthusiastic independent contractors to join our ground crew roster.
Role Overview
As a Ground Crew Contractor, you will assist with the set-up, operation, and tear-down of drone shows under the direction of the Pilot-in-Command. This is an on-call, casual opportunity where you can accept shows that fit your schedule through our contractor scheduling system.
Responsibilities
- Assist with set-up and tear-down of drone show operations.
- Load/unload equipment, handle batteries, and deploy ground support systems.
- Drive company vehicles to transport equipment to and from show sites.
- Maintain perimeter safety and site security during shows.
Requirements
- Previous aviation or live event experience is an asset.
- Transport Canada Basic RPAS Certificate preferred.
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions and during irregular hours.
- Physically fit and able to lift 50+ lbs.
Compensation
- Independent contractor role (not employment).
- Paid per show or per day, depending on assignment.
- Travel, mileage, and per diem may be provided when applicable.
