We are currently in need of Certified Heavy Equipment Mechanic for our Calgary location.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Some of the main duties and responsibilities of mechanic will be:
- Inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, overhaul and repair of various components of a variety of heavy duty trucks equipped with diesel engines and automatic or manual transmissions.
- Requisition parts, materials and equipment as needed
- Complete detailed, clear and concise work orders
- Assist Shop Manager and other technicians in checking and diagnosing mechanical faults of trucks
- Maintain order, cleanliness, work output and safe working conditions in own work area

Qualifications
- Strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience with heavy equipment maintenance and repair
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and operate various heavy machinery, including excavators and cranes
- Experience with electrical systems and automotive repair
- Familiarity with schematics and troubleshooting techniques
- Customer service skills and experience in a dealership or industrial setting
- Welding and assembly skills are a plus

Pay: $64,638.00-$66,395.00 per year
